UPS systems

UPS systems,
designed, installed and serviced.

We size, supply, install and maintain single and three-phase UPS systems for production lines, process control and critical plant, with battery time to suit the process.

How It Works

From survey to handover.

STEP 01

Survey

We list what needs protecting and check how much power it uses on site.

STEP 02

Design

We choose the right UPS and battery time, and agree where it goes.

STEP 03

Supply and install

Equipment from established manufacturers, fitted by our engineers.

STEP 04

Test and handover

Tested with a real power cut, then handed over with settings, results and certificates.

Protection for critical plant

Systems in every size, from one control cabinet to a whole production line.

Machines and cabinets

Single-phase systems for machine controls, comms and server cabinets, and smaller sites.

Production lines and process plant

Three-phase systems for larger loads, with battery time to suit the process.

Whole sites and plant rooms

Larger systems to protect a wider area, with extra battery time where it is needed.

Service

A UPS only helps if the batteries are in good order.

Annual service visit

Inspection, battery test and a written report.

Batteries checked every year

Battery time is tested and recorded at each visit, so a weak battery is found early.

Service contract

One visit a year, agreed in advance, so nothing is forgotten.

Where it's used

Any plant where a power cut costs production or damages equipment.

Manufacturing lines

Controls and inspection equipment that must not drop out mid-cycle.

Process control

Control systems and instruments in food, chemical and water plants.

Data and comms rooms

Servers and networks that need clean power and time to shut down.

Food and beverage

Process controls and monitoring that must keep recording through a cut.

Warehouses and logistics

Conveyor controls, scanners and warehouse servers.

Building and security systems

Fire, security and building management systems.

Common questions

Answers to what customers ask most.

What size UPS do I need?

It depends on what needs protecting, how much power it uses and how long it must keep running. We measure it on site and work it out.

How long will the batteries run my equipment?

It depends on the size of the UPS and how many batteries are fitted. A standard UPS typically gives a few minutes at full load, and extra battery cabinets can stretch that to an hour or more. We size it to what your process needs.

How long do UPS batteries last?

Batteries wear out gradually, and how fast depends on temperature and use. We test them at every service, so a weak battery is found early.

Can a UPS run motors and machine tools?

Yes. Motors draw a large surge when they start and need reactive power, so we check the starting current and reactive power and size the system to suit.

Can it be used with a backup generator?

Yes. The UPS keeps your equipment running while the generator starts, then the generator takes over and the batteries recharge. We check the two work together, including the size of the generator.

Tell us what you need to protect

The equipment, roughly how much power it uses, and how long it needs to keep running. We will arrange a survey.
